SECURITY CONSULTING SERVICES INCLUDE:

  • Security Risk Assessments

Security Risk Assessments are an important tool in managing the risks associated with crowded places. Reliance Risk uses relevant standards and terms of reference such as the Handbook, HB 167:2006 – Security Risk Management, Crowded Places Guidelines and technical standards related to security barriers (PAS68), to help guide this process.

  • Counter-Terrorism Risk Assessments

The Australian & New Zealand Counter Terrorism Committee provides useful resources for a range of terrorism related scenarios. Reliance Risk uses those to assist in the risk assessment of issues like active armed offender, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), Vehicle Borne IEDs (VBIEDs) and hostile vehicle mitigation.

  • Hostile Vehicle Mitigation Assessments

Protecting public spaces from hostile vehicles has become an increasingly critical task in recent times. Reliance Risk can assist in determining appropriate measures to mitigate this risk based on an assessment of a range of factors including access, threats, vulnerabilities and in accordance with relevant British technical standards (PAS68).

  • Vulnerability Assessments

Vulnerability assessment is a critical step in securing crowded places and public venues. This can involve a review of various opportunities presented to attack a target, and susceptability to attack, or effectivness of the threat actor against a target. It considers the potential effectivness of a threat actor, which has an impact on the risk consequence and the extent of the opportunity to attack a target, which effects the likelihood of that risk.

  • Crowd Management

Crowd science is a growing area of interest in major event planning. Reliance Risk applies a range of methods to plan and implement systems for safe capacities, and design and manage information based interventions. This could include crowd flow analysis, density, crowd capacity assessments, crowd communications and signage, DIM-ICE Modelling and more.

  • Security Audits

Reliance Risk undertakes security related audits to establish the effectiveness of current controls and to ensure the current security posture is appropriate for the threat environment. This can include penetration testing and security management system auditing.
